The RecSys 2017/18 conferences had excellent Deep Learning for Recommendation Systems DLRS workshops with loads of interesting content. Trying to explore and summarize the intersection of deep learning and recommendation systems is no small feat. These workshops gave a nice overall view of the field as of 2018.

Trying to use the wealth of information available can be a bit daunting for interested researchers in the field of DLRS. Sometimes a visual map is easier to digest than a list of publications at then end of a review paper.

I hope this map helps the community with learning more about the fascinating intersection of deep learning and recommender systems.
